Trendell Mark Shorty was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Trendell
graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in
Management. During his studies at LSU, Trendell earned the Honor of LSU Rucks
Fellow, for having a Top 10 GPA among all graduating seniors in the Management
Curriculum.
After graduating from LSU, Trendell attended Tulane University School of Law and
graduated in 2023. As part of his law school career, Trendell was a member of
the Tulane Sports Lawyers Journal and Black Law Student Association's
Alternative Dispute Resolution Moot Court Team. Trendell was also a member of
the Black Law Student Association, serving as treasurer during his second year
of law school. After law school, Trendell completed a judicial clerkship with
the Honorable Rachael D. Johnson at the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of
Appeal.
